The Decimator 2 is a miniature (3G/HD/SD)-SDI to HDMI and NTSC/PAL converter, designed to deliver high-quality video conversion with simultaneous scaling on both outputs. This compact device auto-detects 3G, HD, or SD formats, handling 26 formats in total, and supports synchronous source switching. The HDMI output offers full scaling and aspect ratio conversion, while the down-converted composite output supports NTSC or PAL for 3G/HD inputs, with SD passed unchanged. The Decimator 2 features low latency 3G/HD to SD down-conversion with aspect ratio conversion options, including anamorphic, letterbox, and center cut. It boasts a full 10-bit data path, multipoint interpolation, and 16 times over-sampling for composite output. The device also supports EIA-708/608 closed captions, 16-channel audio metering on HDMI output, and de-embedded analog audio output on RCA connectors. Additional features include a 3G/HD/SD-SDI active loop-through output, external dip-switch configuration, USB port for control and firmware updates, and a locking DC power socket. The package includes a power supply, HDMI cable and USB cable.
